Five years of professional editing. An ongoing practice in filmmaking. A class built to teach you how to think like an editor — not just which buttons to press.
For the last five years, editing has been my craft — cutting for clients, shaping raw footage into stories that actually land. Somewhere along the way, I stopped thinking about editing as a technical skill and started thinking about it as a way of seeing.
Lately, I've been putting that same thinking into filmmaking — learning to shoot, compose, and direct, not just cut what someone else shot.
Software is the easy part — you can learn where the tools live in a weekend. What's harder, and what actually makes people want to keep watching, is everything underneath it: pacing, shot selection, narrative, sound, color, motion. This class is built around that — the thinking, not just the tool. It covers editing fundamentals, storytelling, cinematic editing, pacing, shot selection, narrative, sound, color, motion, and the real-world workflow that ties it all together.
I haven't worked with celebrities, and I'm not going to pretend I have. What I have is five years of hands-on editing experience, and an ongoing, honest practice of learning filmmaking — the same process I'm asking you to go through.
You'll need to bring your own laptop with editing software installed — see the FAQ below for details.
